My role includes being the main point of contact for our largest door set customers throughout the UK. This goes from taking the initial enquiry, scheduling, quoting, negotiating the deal, all the way through to sourcing materials at the most competitive prices and over seeing the construction of the door sets. Business development is a key attribute in my role to ensure we maintain a high level of customer satisfaction with our current suppliers but also ensure new customers are aware of our strengths and capabilities as an individual and as a business. With the ever growing number of developments going for offsite construction, we have been growing rapidly over the last couple of years and can see the trend in offsite construction increasing consistently.One of Morland's USP is that we have our own moulding and wrapping capability to offer a fully finished door-set all in-house. Results orientated, highly productive Product sourcing manager for a large organisation in Shropshire, with a turnover in excess of £250 million and an overall materials purchase value of £40 million in the last year. I have been working on a number of student schemes throughout the UK and also hotel projects such as Premier Inn, Motel One, and Hilton. Elements UK is the main buying group for a number of companies that range from Offsite Modular manufacturing to Traditional Building sites that enables us great buying power on a vast range of products materials and services. I have demonstrated ability to significantly reduce procurement costs by standardising processes, negotiating favourable terms and streamlining supplier channels. Within my current role I am solely responsible for all product research and product sourcing worldwide along with logistics relating to worldwide purchases. This includes calculating CBM values of orders, consolidation of orders, organising LCL’s, calculate and negotiate transport and shipping costs and manage expectation on delivery times. I have worked closely with suppliers in low cost countries such as India and China but also throughout Europe. In the last 6 months I have had the opportunity to visit a number of countries to perform factory audits, inspections of product quality and to build business relationships to ensure we receive high quality products at very competitive prices.
