Many of you have been long time clients and friends – colleagues and fellow design lovers, who have followed me through 39 years of an astonishing journey made possible by the platform provided by Knoll. Long before we thought of the contemporary use of ‘platforms’ and their seemingly infinite reach – there were venues – places that provided physical arenas where we experienced the best and brightest of human thought. I had the distinct pleasure of working in such a place. My new journey has the benefit of both kinds of platforms – every artful beauty I witnessed at Knoll and now the new world ushered in by technology. I’m pleased to invite you to join me on my new venture.168 Sales and Leadership Development is a distillation of everything I have learned and actually done over these years to ensure that sales encompassed more than money and to teach that leadership skills are prerequisite for all goals in life. It’s a common misconception that only people in leadership roles use or need the qualities leadership bestows on those who acquire them. In reality, each of us is asked to exhibit those qualities on a daily basis – whether you work at Starbucks or own Tesla. My idea is to provide a place – a platform, where we discover those inner leadership skills we all posses and bring them out to be used more consciously and deliberately.No one is more eager to bring these very practical skills to as many people as possible, than I am. My audience – my first clients in this endeavor have been as diverse as middle school future leaders, to sales teams of major corporations. I intend to keep the spectrum as wide and diverse as possible and will be posting my findings and tales of success on this site and in other mediums. Until then....
