About Mike Beswick

I am now semi retired but would still like to employ the knowledge, experience and skills that I have built over the last 40 plus years.During a long career in the Ordnance Industry I was lucky enough to work in almost all areas from pyrotechnics to warheads and armour, including medium calibre, tank and artillery ammunition. The work also covered mixing and filling explosives, modelling and trials work, including 2 International Ballistics Symposium papers.After leaving BAE Systems in 2008 and starting my own company the jobs included several small research contracts directly from UK MoD and working for CTA international in France.August 2016 saw the start of a new project to extend the business into the classic car area.In late 2021 I decided it was time to move into semi retirement and closed the company.I continue to support two railway charities the Standard Steam Locomotive Trust, who are building 'Hengist' a Class 6 Pacific, where I am a long serving member of the Engineering Committee and the Stanier Mogul Fund which preserves what is arguably the 1st design of the line that created the BR Standards.Closer to home I am a member of Chorley Cricket Club.
