I graduated from Guilford Technical Community College in Jamestown, NC with an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Aviation Systems Technology. During my education, I learned about removing, troubleshooting, repairing and reinstalling various engines and avionics. I have acquired the ability to use various testing equipment including pressure gauges, temperature sensors and flow meters to test engines. In addition to my education, I am a dependable licensed airframe and powerplant mechanic with an associate's degree and four years of hands-on experience in diagnosing, repairing and overhauling aircraft engines and systems. I am meticulously detail-oriented and able to identify issues quickly to complete efficient repairs in accordance with company and FAA standards.I was a Spacecraft Technician for ASRC Space and Defense, working under Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company to build Artemis 1 deep space capsule. I performed fabrication, modification, troubleshooting and final servicing of structural, mechanical and fluid systems of the spacecraft. I also assisted engineering in the evaluation of tests and correction of malfunctions and performed testing and operational procedures. Most notable experience gained was installation of the cameras for flight footage seen worldwide, installation and testing of the crew side hatch, installation of the maneuvering thrusters and main parachute and drogue parachutes. I also worked with ordinance systems for the separation of the capsule from the service module and the separation of the forward bay cover to expose the parachutes for landing. I also spent some time at a Lockheed Martin test facility in Colorado, setting up various tests on a mock-up of the Orion space capsule including jettison tests of the protective fairings around the service module.
