In 2015, Michael Borgerson assumed the role of Vice President Healthcare Business Development and is responsible for leading worldwide supply chain management and business development activities for large multi-national clients in the healthcare industry. Mike and his team work in conjunction with the UPS healthcare strategy team to developGlobal integrated solutions across all business units and functions to create value for customers.Mike previously served as the Vice President, Business Development UPS Global Logistics and Distribution. In this position, Borgerson directed all global business development activities related to the company’s key product offerings: Distribution, Service Parts Logistics, Express Critical and Mail Innovations. Prior to his role in Global Contract Logistics Borgerson held various Senior Business Development positions within the UPS Global, Strategic and Enterprise sales organizations. Mike joined UPS in Wisconsin in 1984 as a part-time hourly employee in an operations capacity while pursuing his undergraduate degree. He began his UPS management career as an Industrial Engineer, performing time-study/time in motion observations with UPS hub and extended facility operations. In 1990 Borgerson began his UPS Business Development career as an Account Executive in Wisconsin, during his BD tenure he’s held leadership positions in Wisconsin-National Account Manager, Arkansas-Global Managing Director, Texas-Director of Strategic Accounts and Georgia- Sr. Director of Global Account Sales; All previous operational and business development leadership experiences uniquely position Borgerson for identifying and providing clients integrated enterprise wide solutions.
