I am running for Mayor to ensure that the town in which I started a business and raised my children continues to afford its residents the best shot at attaining a happy and prosperous life.Turlock has been fortunate in that it weathered the economic storm better than most cities in the Central Valley. However, forecasts tell us that we are still at least three years out until we are where we were before the recession. As Mayor, I will ensure that your hard-earned tax dollars are spent efficiently and we will continue to live within our means. I will also work to see to it that we are actively encouraging private sector growth to hasten a full and robust economic recovery for Turlock.When it comes to economic development, we must continue to attract new businesses—especially to the Turlock Regional Industrial Park. Working with local business to ensure we are doing what we can to help them stay in business and expand will be one of my top priorities as Mayor.And finally, the City of Turlock has no bigger obligation to its residents than keeping our streets safe. I am committed to reducing the threat of crime in our neighborhoods by devoting the necessary resources toward public safety.It’s time to think big, Turlock. We need a thriving local economy and robust job market that matches the energy and enthusiasm of our city. I have spent my life working in the private sector to create jobs and I am now running for Mayor in order to give a voice to the hardworking families and small businesses that make up the lifeblood of our city.
