Water Resource Management is an increasingly complex subject. A new era for water management is beginning, where projects and policies need to consider all aspects of water, including supply for economic growth, treated wastewater, stormwater, flooding, wetlands, lakes streams, estuaries, springs, community quality of life and long term resiliency. Concepts such as natural, or green infrastructure, are being incorporated in more projects. Multi-dimensional individuals and organizations that manage water on generational timeframes, as well as local, regional and statewide surface watershed and groundwater scales are being inspired. It is an exciting time to be a water professional!
