I attended Marian University in Fond du Lac, WI focusing my studies on accounting, economics, finance and mathematics. After graduating college in 1999, I joined a large regional accounting firm and then acquired my CPA license. During my public accounting career I worked with a lot of small and medium sized businesses in the areas of audit, tax compliance and software selection. As my accounting career progressed, I also acquired the Certified Information Technologies Professional (CITP) designation from the American Institute of Public Accountants and the Advanced QuickBooks Pro-Advisor Certification from Intuit. In August of 2017, I decided to step away from public accounting to pursue various entrepreneurial interests.In January of 2013, I joined the ownership and management team at ConceptWorks, Inc. In December of 2014, ConceptWorks purchased the assets of Mekco (which is now run as a division of the company). Then, in September of 2017, I accepted the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for ConceptWorks and Mekco.I have also recently joined the ownership and management team at Genuine Mechanics; and I continue to provide project based QuickBooks consulting and management consulting to a few local businesses through Bruflat Consulting, LLC.
