Currently, I am the Branch Manager of SPI Pittsburgh. Before earning this position, I was the founder , co-owner and President of Burnham Insulation Sales. My familiarity/interest in industrial products began when I went to work as an apprentice for the Local 2 Insulator's Union throughout the various power plants in the Western Pa and West Virginia area at age 17. This valuable work experience also gave me the ability to earn the money necessary to pay for my degree in Economics from Pennsylvania State University. Upon Graduation, I secured a management position with Roadway Trucking Lines. The knowledge of logistics became a crucial piece of my skill set as I worked toward my goal of owning a Distributor of Industrial Goods. Near the end of 1989 , I took advantage of an opportunity to work for one of the largest steel distributors in the country, Joseph T. Ryerson Steel. I stayed with the company from 1989-1994. There, I became experienced in material distribution. I managed, implemented and negotiated material contracts with some of the most reputable companies in the Pittsburgh area. With this experience, I started Burnham Insulation Sales Inc in 1994. My ability to procure quality industrial vendors was the center piece that lead to continuous growth and success until the company was purchased by SPI in October of 2021.
