I've spent the last decade in construction where every day each project brought with it a unique set of challenges and experiences. My career has allowed me to be part of a variety of different projects, working with a wide range of people. Locally I'm proud to have been part of a project that used a 1,000 tons of steel to build the superstructure for a 144-car ferry that is in service locally here in the Puget Sound. When it comes to projects that required traveling, the northern slope of Alaska tops my list. There I got to be part of the team that launched a bridge from shore across more than 1000ft of frozen river. In the video are the actual 3D animations I created at the preliminary planning stage to allow our construction team to explain to ConocoPhillips our team's intended means and methods. One of my professional interests has been to continually find ways to incorporate 3D computer modeling into construction work plans and have gained an extensive background using Sketchup.
