One of my greatest passions is organizing things. I love to jot down lists or draw process maps covering everything, and this has benefited many in both my personal and professional life. While volunteering for LTUE, a non-profit writing convention, I put those skills to work revamping their complex panelist scheduling process. Tackling registration for 1600 people, including managing online memberships, badge printing and sorting, and the on-site check-in process has been so rewarding. And it solved a huge headache for the organizers too.Working at Ancestry these past 12 years, I eagerly seek for opportunities to improve efficiency in processes and pipelines. Starting on the Imaging team, I learned the value of setting ambitious goals and pushing myself to improve. This led to an opportunity to be the Team Lead of 26 wonderful specialists, where I learned the importance of communication and strategic planning. Now I’ve been working as a Project Coordinator for over 5 years, which empowers me to dive deeply into the intricacies of a complex publishing pipeline. Working with other amazing colleagues, I’ve helped reduce rework by 30%, revamped outdated standards documents, and refined the project definition process. If you are looking for someone who is reliable, friendly, humorous, nerdy, and most of all talented at discovering and improving inefficiencies, then I am your wizard (person).
