As the Head of Cybersecurity at Supernal (A Hyundai Company), I was brought in to build the company cybersecurity program and team to support strategic business goals through risk reduction, automation, and implementing next generation tools and services. Responsible for strategizing, implementing security measures, overseeing security operations, and collaborating with various stakeholders to maintain a robust cybersecurity posture as we build electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft mobility solutions that will allow passengers a seamless intermodal journey that safely transports them to their final destination.Through comprehensive and robust cybersecurity measures, I aim to maintain the highest levels of information security and data integrity across all business units within the enterprise. My role encompasses overseeing the assessment of potential threats, formulating proactive defense mechanisms, and coordinating incident response protocols to mitigate risks effectively. Ultimately, my efforts are focused on providing a secure technological environment that enables uninterrupted business continuity and fosters trust among stakeholders.

Head of Cybersecurity, brought in to establish a structured cybersecurity program from scratch following a significant breach and ransomware incident causing operational, monetary, and reputational loss to the organization. Led strategic planning and cybersecurity initiatives as Head of Cybersecurity, overseeing enterprise-wide business processes and ensuring the protection of the company's technology infrastructure.  Implemented automation processes to reduce costs and enhance security while maintaining staffing and budget.  Educated and kept executives and board members up to date on cybersecurity risks and initiatives used to support and protect 1.6 billion in annual budget expenditures.  In response to covid restrictions, devised and executed optimal remote security infrastructure, ensuring comprehensive monitoring, protection, and policy enforcement for all remote devices.  Developed and maintained multiyear cybersecurity strategic plans, aligning security recommendations with business needs, policies, regulations, and laws. Created the Risk Management and Compliance Program to identify trends, risks, and the status of compliance to prioritize IT and Cybersecurity efforts to align with business needs.

As the Cyber Operations Officer I provide leadership and direction to all cyber teams conducting defensive, assessment and analysis functions. I’m responsible for the development or guidance for cyber team training, deployment and compliance programs. I responsible for leading security analysis and compliance assessments for internal and external customers. I am currently assigned to support DoD Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) requirements.Responsibilities and Duties:• Tasked to provide leadership and direction to multiple teams and programs using project management methodologieso Frequently work with civilian and military organizations as the lead planner for IS and IT projectso Communicate expectations to management, team members and customers in a timely and effective mannero Use of standard Project Management Institute methodologies as well as the knowledge of Risk Management Framework used to bring together FISMA security standards and guidance to build IS programs.o Projects Include long term and short term internal or for multi partner operational environment taskings.• Work with DoDI 8500 series, DoD 5200, DoDM 5200, NIST standards, Air Force Instructions, and Government Security Acts• Provide enterprise level management and direction for all Information Security (IS) and training needs.o Provide vulnerability assessment planning, execution, and reporting functions to ultimately provide increased protective measure recommendations.o Responsible for creating and growing testing, training & operational infrastructure used for in house and remote operations. Systems include in house testing labs, red/blue training environment for attack and defend, training VM programs, and remote testing & assessment systems.o Work to train teams on existing tools or custom in-house scripts to meet specific mission requirements.• Manage high expectations through supporting team members and setting customer expectations in a timely manner.

Responsible for overseeing multiple project teams and accountable for the overall outcome organizations programs.As the Systems Integration Officer I was responsible for the planning and oversight to direct and guide Satellite, Networking and Telecommunications equipment and personnel as needed to ensure integration of all pieces.As officer in charge for the Plans and Resources flight, it was my responsibility to plan for all unit requirements at the 147th for the California Air National Guard. This work center received top level instructions from the Commander and higher level organizations the create team objectives and set priorities. Information technology Teams ranged from around 4-18 people and included Satellite communications, Radio, Network control Center, Voice (Analog and Digital/VOIP), Data (Switches/Routers/Media converters), Help Desk, Management, Information Assurance and Cabling teams.

As the Principal Information System Security Manager for 10 programs, I currently develop, implement, and manage multiple Enterprise Cyber Security-Information System Security Networks to include IA Risk management and Insider Threat programs for the DoD. My current duties focus on compliance with RMF, JSIG, NIST SP 800-30/37/39/53, FISMA, DoDM 5205.07, CNSS 1253, SDLC and STIG requirements. I have created and continue to support multiple system deliverables to include network infrastructure plans, Systems Security Plans (SSP), Risk Assessment Reports (RAR), Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) Plans, Security Assessment Reports (SAR), and Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M).Responsibilities and Duties:• Design, implement, manage, and audit enterprise level networks to Government JSIG Risk Management Framework (RMF) standards to meet customer requirements as outlined in the Statement of Work.• Design duties include: Work with customer stakeholders and internal managers, security engineers and system admins to design enterprise level networks.• Implementation duties to include: Work with Boeing IT PMO, System Admins and Security engineers to build out planned networks.• Management duties to include: Work to schedule meetings, planning events and weekly IT and Auditing requirements. Responsible for the creation of planning, scheduling, and all Information Assurance products. Additional duties to include Insider Threat Program, Change Management Board member, Incident Management, and Information Security Training Program for general and privileged users.• Auditing duties to include: Work with Information System Security Officers and System Admins to validate audit compliance per customer requirements utilizing auditing tools, and Continuous Monitoring techniques.
