I was hired initially to be a sales representative; but soon became a product manager for torque tool products, I trained other sales representatives on how to use torque tools, where they can be sold and supported them in demonstrations, did most of the communications with these suppliers negotiating pricing, tackling product issues ect… (SPX Bolting, CDI torque tools, Rad Torque Systems, Jemms Cascade, Cleco, Apex Tools, Ingersoll Rand, Desoutter etc...) I also had a mandate to start a calibration laboratory; and Groupe LD Laval and Jonquiere now have their own calibration and repair laboratories.

Recruited originally to work in the calibration lab repairing and calibrating torque transducers, within one year of employment my knowledge of computers and software became known around the company and I was promoted to the IT Manager. The responsibilities of my new duties encroached upon the regular day to day transducer repairs and calibrations therefore I trained an understudy. This now gave me the opportunity to go on the road as support for our salesman with regards to special torque applications. This also gave me the opportunity to become integral part of the team that wrote and maintains the McCann equipment Management System Manual, Quality Operating Procedures and in-house repair and calibration procedures. I am also McCann’s internal auditor, performing internal audits once a year in all locations to insure that our ISO 17025 procedures are being followed correctly. I created and currently maintain all of McCann’s uncertainty budgets on their ISO 17025 scope of accreditation. I am responsible for the proficiency testing of every item on McCann’s scope of accreditation that ensures consistent and accurate results in all laboratories..
