My core experience includes over 15 years as a software developer and manager, including stints at very successful start-ups and large tech companies such as Cisco Systems and Ciena Corp. I took a break from the corporate world to do some software side projects, to become a franchise business owner responsible for full operations, and to explore a number of leadership positions such as board officer for non-profits, public school teacher/coach, mentor, and group fitness coach. The diversity of my life experience has provided me with a better understanding of how organizations and people function and it has also enhanced my skills leading people of all ages and walks of life. I am excited to bring those skills and experience back to the field of technology.
