In my current role of Office Manager and Repro Operative, I manage the effective running of the Newport office within Saica Packaging Newport. I follow strict client briefs and create digital artwork files following set procedures.The following activities constitute my core role:• Apple Macintosh operator• Creation of digital artwork and repro ready files• Consultation with representatives of Saica Packagings internal and external sales and regional representatives regarding artwork design and objectives• Quality checking of artwork and repro ready digital files• Downloading files from external sources• Checking the suitability for printing of customer supplied files• Adjusting and modifying customer supplied files to ensure quality of print • Liasing with Saica print manager to ensure suitability of print and to meet customers expectations• Sending out digital files for approval to the correct personnel• Uploading of relevant artwork files to Kinetic online portal• Uploading of approved files to Saica GPT database• Ordering of printing plates from Matthews Originators at Portsmouth• Operation of client database, including administering all new jobs, amendments and approvals and factory damaged jobs through to plate ordering• Providing cost estimates and recording batch costings as required by Saica Packaging• Entering weekly costs onto Saica GPT database• Backing up of essential data and files• Regular meetings with Saica quality control to constantly improve print quality and procedures• Recording all changes in procedures and updating system files ensuring person covering holidays is fully updated• Daily meetings with Saica internal sales and Saica Machine Services to advise the availability of printing plates onsite• Manage and record a plate utilisation process, currently saving the client many thousands of pounds annually• Controlling, monitoring and ordering of stock and consumables

Assisting in the organisation and running of busy art studio, together with the quality controland approving of artwork and film negatives prior to customer approval and production:• Consultation with client companies with regard to artwork design and objectives• Administrative duties including assisting in the operation of client database• Brief and monitor staff preparing artwork and film negatives• Supervise allocation of job duties• Apple Macintosh operator
