Business and cultural leader of the stores within a defined geographical area, responsible for achieving sales goals, customer satisfaction, and profitability growth as well as understanding, practicing, and being a strong proponent of the Turner’s brand and the company culture.• Create and maintain a diverse, high-performing store management team through consistent selection, development and motivation• Responsible for managing a staff of Store Managers in a manner that maximizes sales, earnings, and customer satisfaction via regular store visits and constructive feedback• Provide coaching, support, and mentoring to managers in order to meet Turner's goals• Promotes and fosters excellent customer service skills and exceptional salesmanship to managerial staff• Provide supportive leadership to store staff by being insightful and offering direction for personal development• Cultivate an environment of open communication and drive the performance management and development of Store Managers• Develop strategies that ensure profitable growth• Lead teams to meet sales/payroll budgets through appropriate execution• Meets and exceeds budgeted sales by working with store managers to set daily, weekly and monthly sales goals while training to effectively managing labor costs

The Store Manager is a retail professional role model in attitude and appearance skilled in the art of communication and customer service, who has the ability to teach these skills to the team and ultimately lead by example.• Manages a staff of Assistant Managers and non-exempt employees.• Provides excellent customer service and salesmanship.• Ensures customers enjoy a full service and high value shopping experience.• Accountable to meet budgeted sales by setting daily, weekly and monthly sales goals while effectively managing labor costs and minimizing shrink.• Effectively advertises and promotes Turner’s Outdoorsman products and events.• Establishes a team work environment.• Schedules employee shifts, assigns work to employees, and assigns break times. May be responsible for covering employee breaks and or lunches in other departments as needed.• Trains, supervises and develops employees.• Responsible for all aspects of store operations, either directly or through the delegation of staff including office management, supervision of accurate cash handling, accurate cash management and cash register functions, maintains and tracks proper merchandise stock levels, properly displays merchandise, maintains and ensures completion of firearms paperwork, achieves firearms inventory integrity, accountable for compliance of all firearms laws, regulations, and policies.
