Who needs a resume? Here is my story..From 2021-2024 I lead all agents, VP’s and SVP’s for AssuredPartners of Houston (almost 20 brokers total). My story is not the typical one, and for that I give God the credit. At 17 I dropped out of high school. I later dropped out of evening GED classes while I helped my Dad with his small roofing business during the day. I eventually got a “pay to pass” diploma for $500/month with all test answers provided. My entire 18th year (2006) I spent at a work camp in the middle of nowhere in NC. I was the youngest man there out of 60 and most of them had been in and out of prison their entire lives. We had no access to phone, tv, or internet and if I decided to leave I would be in major trouble. I was in the gutter during my most formidable years and that is where I earned my DRIVE. (That’s not even a fraction of my stories and I’m happy to share at any time that you want especially if you have troubled youth that you love)…I straightened up, went to a junior college while working in home building, transferred to Liberty because they’ll take just about anyone without a GPA or SAT, and then took online classes while working full time in fundraising. After graduating with a Business Finance degree, I entered the corporate sales world. I was a broker for ten years before becoming a sales manager for a few and recently moved back into production to focus on other exciting new chapters of my life and other business start ups. My current purpose is very clear and that is to let my light of grace shine as I interact with family, friends, clients and colleagues. That’s my story and I’d love to hear your story as well!-Mike
