Part time Control Systems Engineer and Labview/Rockwell PLC programmer for in-house test stands

• Maintain control system architecture for industrial proton and electron accelerators including, servers, thin clients, Ethernet switches, PLCs, standalone HMIs, communications.• Design GUI’s for industrial accelerator equipment using FactoryTalk View, WinCC, and Archestra.• Developed visual basic scripts for parameters and recipe file management from the machines GUI environment.• Developed PLC software for industrial accelerators including I/O locations, product selection, control routines, reusable code, and custom customer interfacing functionality.• Configure equipment server using VMware and ESXI and setting up RDP connection clients.• Support standardization of equipment control systems, reusable code, machine options, standard I/O across multiple platforms included Siemens and Allen Bradley.• Support existing equipment remotely using VPN clients, providing software troubleshooting.• Create control and functional specifications for any code developed, as well as user manuals and troubleshooting guides for the end user or our field service department.• Train customer on how to use and troubleshoot the control system either in the field on their actual equipment or at our factory.• Configure data logging equipment, both historian servers (SQL back-end) and Dataq loggers.• Performed machine migrations from Microsoft Server 2008 to Microsoft Server 2016• Experience high voltage and beam conditioning electron accelerators.• Perform overall software improvements on the machines control system based off field experiences and field service and customer feedback.• Design, test, and commissioning of SIL rated radiation safety systems using extensive knowledge of current codes and standards for radiation equipment.• Communicate between multiple PLCs of different brands and protocols, including customer equipment for facility integration through working with their controls engineers.
