Technical lead on safety critical aerospace and defense project and responsible for all technical aspects of the product from concept through development, qualification and production. This includes verification and validation of requirements, development of technical data packages, risk assessment and closure plans. Also validate product testing requirements and develop test methods. Routinely engaged in problem solving/root cause analysis, change configuration management, project team leadership and technical report writing.

Directly responsible for the successful project performance of an engineering team (Project Engineers, Mechanical Engineers and Electrical Engineers) charged with the design and development of custom test equipment and ground support equipment for the aviation industry. Provides technical oversight, project management and supervision. Also heads own engineering and product development projects.

Manages the Test Engineering Group at 3M Purification Inc which provides project management and implementation for the design, construction , development and equipment services for custom machines to test filtration products for RD&E and QA globally. Projects typically entail – Conceptually developing a solution to a customer’s problem. Provide functional schematics for the proposed equipment. Provide cost and timeline estimate for the design. Oversee machine drawings.Manages capital expenditures to ensure on budget. Oversees the building of the equipment to specifications. Writes the machine control software. Debugs and develops the control system for the machine to ensure design requirements are met.Installs equipment at customer’s site.Conducts training with the customer for the equipment.Over the past year my roll has expanded further to include the design and development in microcontroller based products to incorporate into new and existing product lines.
