Primary focus on the integration effort between Bank of America banking platform and Merrill Lynch brokerage accounts. Responsibilities include: • Facilitation of business requirement with key business stake holders• Preparation of detailed software requirement specifications. • Presenting software requirements to key business stakeholders and the software development community.• Quickly gaining subject matter expertise in credit/debit card processing activities including: Authorizations, Point-of-Sale transactions (POS), VISA, Fraud Detection and Accounting.

Provided relationship management, budgeting, project planning and management for BlackRock’s Municipal Portfolio Management Group and the Municipal Risk and Quantitative Analysis team (RQA). Responsible for driving municipal related enhancements to Blackrock Solutions’ enterprise portfolio management system, Aladdin. ~100 billion of municipal assets. Established strategic roadmap/plan to significantly improve the product offering from BlackRock Solutions for municipal bond managers. • Participated in sales presentations and worked closely with sales staff on presentation materials to ensure proper subject matter when targeting municipal asset managers.• Provided software training to portfolio management and credit research communities for application enhancements to ensure proper use and understanding.• In response to credit crisis, Generated custom credit exposure reporting to target troubled entities across the BlackRock enterprise. • Delivered proposal/prototype to BlackRock Solutions management for the construction of a Credit Exposure application to quantify total exposure to a given issuer/company/obligor (tax backed, revenue)/insurer across the book.• Lead the effort to migrate the MLIM Municipal business from legacy technology platform (Charles River Trading, Bloomberg Trading (POMS) and a host of other applications) onto the BlackRock Aladdin platform. Provided relationship management, budgeting, project planning and staffing for fixed income technology initiatives for the domestic MLIM fixed income business. Matrix reporting lines included Head of Investments technology and CIO’s of Taxable and Tax Exempt Fixed Income. Products covered include traditional taxable tax exempt instruments, high yield, emerging markets and bank loans. • Provided vendor management across wide range of areas including electronic trading, market data and analytics. • Initiated the development of a fixed income analytics hub to centralize the collection and calculation of key analytics spanning all fixed income products. The hub included multiple sources such as Citigroup’s Yield Book and Lehman’s Point.• Directly managed a team of 5 professionals.• Led the effort to develop a web based research portal for the MLIM Tax Exempt Group. Research portal allowed tax exempt credit research to figure much more prominently in the overall portfolio management process. • Assisted the tax-exempt group in developing consistent business process around their research efforts. • Facilitated difficult negotiations between middle office group and tax exempt group regarding roles and responsibilities, which culminated in an amicable transition to a new model.• Leveraged existing Merrill Lynch document management technology. The document management technology resided outside of the domain of the MLIM technology group and required partnering with groups across the Merrill Lynch enterprise. Efforts resulted in significant cost savings for the business, as well as, a much quicker time-to-market for the application.• Constructed Java based application using Plumtree Portal, Knowledge Exchange (document management) and an Oracle database.• Application figured prominently in new business pitches. Tool was unprecedented from an industry perspective in the municipal bond research.
