CurrentGEDSA is a 501(c)(6) US Federal tax exempt, Non‐Profit Trade Association incorporated in the State of Ohio, USA and its mission is to promote patient safety worldwide through the adoption of the new ISO 80369 compliant small bore medical connectors. It is a growing worldwide organization with more than 35 medical device manufacturer members currently. GEDSA has close relations and support from clinical professional, patient advocacy groups and regulatory agencies worldwide including but not limited to: ESPEN (European Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition), Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), the Department of Health Canada (Health Canada), Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária (ANVISA) SSA México (Subsecretaría de Regulación y Fomento Sanitario Secretaría de Salad), MOH Japan (Ministry of Health), TGA Australia (Therapeutic Goods Administration), Food & Drug Administration China (CFDA), The Oley Foundation, US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) , The Joint Commission US , Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP), Emergency Care Research Institute (ECRI) and American Society for the Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN), and Brazilian Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (BRASPEN) .
