Architected Coin Node deployment systems. Built some stuff.

As the first engineer on the team, I was tasked with building everything from scratch, and I gladly took on the challenge. A Blockchain Data Analytics platform utilizing data from 16+ blockchains and DLTs to provide a variety of insights into this emerging technology. Details of my contributions:- Architected cloud infrastructure and automated deployment and configuration using a declarative, Infrastructure as Code approach with Terraform and Ansible.- Designed and deployed a 100% microservice based architecture with Docker/Docker-Compose on Linux.- Deployed 18 Blockchain/DLT Fullnodes (including Geth) and ensured their continual operation, sync and API access.- Designed and built full range of monitoring with FOSS tools Nagios, InfluxDB/Grafana and SaaS: Datadog and Pingdom. - Maintained multiple MySQLdb instances and configured replication, backups, logging and user access. - Wrote Python, Bash and Jinja scripts to automate workflows and create custom Nagios checks. - Designed staging and production environments. - Built out CI/CD Jenkins pipeline.- Configured private Docker Registry and Artifactory. - Leveraged Nginx as proxy for all front-ends to reduce SSL overhead and increase availability. - Responsible for security of all systems. - Created tech budgets/projections and managed spend.- Meticulously documented stack in Confluence and updated git repo READMEs.

Built a global anycast network with a focus on automation, monitoring and reporting. - Deployed and operated a 1Tbps+ global public facing anycast network from ground up with 20+ PoPs, utilizing 6+ transit providers and 100+ peers with a focus on low latency, uptime and automation. - Designed firewall, load balancing and traffic engineering/shaping policies. - Automated network and system configurations with Ansible playbooks using Python and Jinja2.- Mitigated large scale DDoS attacks. - Designed and implemented monitoring with Nagios, Kentik, Cacti, InfluxDB/Grafana, Panopta and various Python/Bash scripts used by teams to ensure quick response times and accuracy of 95th percentile billing. - Took ownership of expanding and securing the control network (Juniper SRX ) and corporate IPsec VPN (Cisco ASA). - Worked closely with System Engineers and NOC to bring up systems, debug issues and address security and capacity needs.- Racked and stacked 10+ PoPs around the world on back to back, time critical deployments. - Helped instill a practice of detailed documentation (I love documentation).- On-call escalation engineer.I frequently used Linux, Ansible, Python, Vagrant, Nagios, Grafana, Git, Atlassian Suite and had at least 4 Tmux sessions running with Junos (OS), Cisco iOS, Linux/Unix and VM :]

Managed and supported a team of engineers responsible for the uptime, stability and performance of our CDN's systems and networks. The Network Management Team was a highly skilled, full tier NOC responsible not only for mitigating alerts, but also for root cause analysis, optimizing and documenting our server and network stack, building custom alerts and automation, all while working on multiple projects with competing priorities.
