I have a proven ability to operate effectively outside of my primary specialisms, demonstrating adaptability and a keen ability to embrace and conquer new challenges.Highlights:Strategic technology roadmap development: I defined and deployed the strategic technology roadmap for Dyson robotics in collaboration with business technical leaders, fostering a culture of teamwork and shared vision.Product delivery: I have delivered three autonomous vacuum cleaners (Dyson 360Eye, Heurist and VisNav) from concept to mass production and into global markets.Technology realisation: I pioneered the transition of vision-based localisation (MonoSLAM) from academic theory to practical application. I have championed the integration of machine and reinforcement learning as valuable solutions, planning the development of tools, processes and dev-ops needed to deliver these technologies to mass production.Improving development effectiveness: I introduced 3D simulation as a key development tool, from an initial proof of concept through setting up a strategic external partnership, to creating an internal team. This innovation has expedited delivery of a more robust product.Improving infrastructure: I led the creation a bespoke robotics development facility. This involved extensive consultation with the robotics teams and working with estates, procurement, suppliers, and architects to deliver a world class facility.
