Overlapped duties with the Paint Center Manager at the time, took over activities in the Fall.The paint center manager reported directly to the plant manager as well as paint operations in Detroit. I oversaw all operations of the paint shop and all paint staff as well as onsite suppliers reported to my self or one of my managers. I regularly presented projects and kaizens to Fiat's directors of manufacturing and enjoyed doing so. I was able to empower my team to bring the paint shop up to bronze status in the World Class Manufacturing, (WCM), this was a major achievement for an aging facility very low on budget.Activities included:• Daily staff meetings with both the senior staff as well as my own staff.• Monitor productions counts and adjusting strategy as needed.• Reviewing production and trade teams progress related to our WCM goals.• Setting quarterly and annual WCM goals for the paint shop.• Setting individual goals for my management team and reviewing the delegation of activities to support these goals from my management team to their team members.• Hosting tours and presentations of projects completed and underway to senior Fiat Directors.• Ensure hours are being submitted correctly and that all staff hourly and Salary are paid accurately and on time.
