It was my fascination with the cosmos that not only compelled me to watch documentaries ranging from the Apollo Missions to the genius of Robert Goddard but also inspired me to build space robots. As I grew up, I realized that the future belonged to automation; what belonged in the realm of Star Wars and other science fiction movies is becoming a reality. Hence my decision to pursue a Masters in Robotics Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.Additionally, my research interest lies in Space and Planetary Robotics. I would like to design and build rovers that would assist humans in their next and final frontier. I have graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunications from the University of Mumbai, but the learning doesn’t stop. I believe that an engineer should not restrict himself to his respective domain but should look for ways of amalgamating multiple disciplines. Therefore, I would like to learn as much as possible through research and push boundaries seeking the unknown. My research experience at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research has not only inculcated me with technical expertise but also how to collaborate and work in a team efficiently. I learned that every individual is unique, possess different talents, and this is what makes us special. The ability to interact with my peers and get the best out of them is something I am proud of.
