Lidar Analyst
As a LiDAR Analyst I coordinated the reception, processing and delivery of LiDAR data and its derivative products. As a senior member of the team I worked to create, improve and implement processing. My responsibilities and accomplishments include the following:• Post-processing, calibration and classification of point cloud data from Optech and Riegl systems• Manage data sets throughout the project lifecycle and perform quality and accuracy checks• Lead corridor projects for vegetation management, organizing data, classifying the point cloud, running tools for product creation and the quality control of mapbook deliverables • Lead on over twenty different projects including co-leading a milestone project over 35,000 sq mi multi-state coordinating calibration, processing and delivery • Heavily involved in the creation, training and quality control of a remote classification group • Established best practices and work flow guides for individual procedures and project processing• Trained technicians and new analysts • Wrote documentation and training documents• Worked with internal software engineering teams for the creation of several time saving tools and improvement of existing tools
