Provide timely communication to upper management and confer with production personnel, engineers, or others to resolve machining issues.Work independently as lead machinist as well as, assist other employees with trouble shooting issues and able to work in a team-oriented atmosphere.Perform set up and operation of manual machinery to prepare metallic and non-metallic parts required in the production of API pressure control equipment and other products offered to customers.Calculate figures and amounts such as angles, lengths, diameter in decimals and fractions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Maintenance of tooling requirement, development in tooling design, modification in jigs and fixtures.Precision machining heavy equipment with the ability to put bevels in various angles on stock.Operate drill press, overhead crane, and hand and forklift operation.Identify, produce, and gauge a variety of straight and taper threads using precision measuring instruments.Measure, mark and indicate the dimensions and reference points on the part or material to be used as guides for subsequent machining.Select, align, and secure the holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachment, accessories and materials on machine to include mills, lathe and grinders.Calculate and set controls to regulate various machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow and depth and angle of cut.Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunction or out of tolerance machining and adjust machine controls as required.Set- up and operate manual lathe machine on first run articles to verify accuracy of machine settings.Adjust feeds and RPM as well as, tapping.Study specification or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerance of finish workpiece, sequence of operation and set-up requirements.Packaging and palletizing product in bags and/or drums ranging in size.
