About Mike Dietrich

My career includes over 20 years in the retail/distribution sector, starting as a store associate at Office Depot and working my way up to leading Technology Product Merchandising and Marketing, a $4B part of what was Office Depot's $14B revenue. I worked in stores (US and Canada), worked warehouse freight (still maintain forklift certification) and have held roles as VP, COO and CFO in the retail/distribution sector. My experience landed me a role with a great leader at Verizon Business to lead the newly formed Retail Vertical Target Marketing group. Retail has always been in my blood and after my retail work for others, I turned my attention to working to build a new retail model based on transactional cost supremacy to win in bid markets, founding three startups and developing a cloud based SaaS system. This work turned into a career change to work in IT and in 2015, joined Comerica, Inc. to help them transform themselves to the cloud, developing the company's digital business transformation office. The highly successful venture led to joining FIS to help them with their transformation. From there, I joined ACS (Innova Solutions) as their Global CIO/CISCO to lead the organization through a complicated re-building of their global IT. At Innova, I led the development of a "platform" strategy and drove the partnership with Salesforce, Microsoft and Oracle, implementing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle HCM and ERP - transforming the company's IT in less than 12 months to a modern and scalable integrated platform of platforms. The transformation lowered costs by more than $7M annually and partnered with the top Ai capable partner - Oracle, leaving the company demonstrably better and well positioned for continued success. I am currently again running my own small business, McLaughlin Moore. This time as a LLC. and establishing myself as a transformation and cloud advisor to companies looking to achieve stellar success in record breaking speed. My focus today remains cloud coexistence transformations and leading the infrastructure to application AI transformation - preparing companies to leverage AI and make the leap from Artificial Intelligence to human centered, SaaS delivered, Augmented Intelligence. I believe that AI will make it possible to tackle problems that we have lacked capacity to tackle before by giving our people capacity to do more. What matters most is what you do next.
