Hello! I’m Michael Dirksen, an incoming freshman at the University of Chicago majoring in Economics and Mathematics. My passion lies in the field of applied mathematics, where I’ve had the privilege to tutor students for the past four years in my hometown of Lincoln, Nebraska. In addition to my emerging career, I’ve had the privilege to lead many volunteering teams to improve my local communities. These experiences have honed my skills in both communication and leadership. Skills, I am excited to carry over to The University of Chicago, and eventually into a career in finance.
