Creating solutions for Hospitality

I gained hands-on experience with a variety of coding languages and frameworks, including JavaScript, React, PSQL, Express, Jest, and Firebase. Throughout the course, I worked on several challenging projects, including a back-end project using PSQL and Express, and a front-end project built upon the back-end using React.One of the most valuable aspects of the course was the opportunity to learn from industry experts through daily lectures and apply what we had learned through coding activities for the rest of the working day. The course was structured around agile methodology, with regular standups, kanban boards, pair programming, and religious TDD.Although I had no prior coding experience, I was able to overcome challenges through dedication, hard work, and - predominantly - learning to read the documentation. One of my proudest accomplishments during the course was developing a fully functional app, which not only validated my skills as a coder but also gave me a great sense of satisfaction.

Shuffle is a high volume, high pace cocktail bar in Brighton. I had to be able to create the perfect night for the guests, make sure all staff were in good spirits and capable, train new staff, provide first aid, act as the DJ – the list is endless. Personal achievements- I won a nationwide competition sponsored by Jameson- Caught the attention of Absolut Vodka, who recognised our innovative approach to promoting and selling their product and invited me to visit their distillery in Sweden.
