Using my own industry experience, skills & knowledge to create and deliver training workshops and expos to help and support small businesses, some free at the point of delivery. Using my management, electrical and facilities management qualifications, skills and experience, I have Worked with the Federation of small businesses and the Work and health services directorate, to bridge the gap between local unemployed people and small businesses who can benefit from having someone new in the business to help and impart new ideas, while mutually benefitting from live industry experience. I have created and delivered a range of traning workshops from overcoming the hurdles of running an SME, to electrical, health & safety, workplace coaching & mentoring and employee training.

This is a diverse combined role managing facilities including maintenance both onsite and across muti sites, health & safety services incorporating fire and food audits and the control of food services. This role has grown since I joined Whitbread and I have worked my other businesses around this as there is a large degree of synergy and crossover between them. As part of my role I was appointed as an employee representative for divisional/ National & Pan European forums. The role is designed to cut through the layers of the business to reach, coach and collate feedback from all job roles and to look at ways we can improve the business. Periodic coaching sessions and presentations to the divisional management teams and the directors ensures the business can respond and react faster across all brands

Stock availability, working with external merchandising teams and delivering in-house bakery, deli and chilled ranges formed a crucial part of the role. I also had full accountability for managing all peripheral facilities including maintenance, Health & Safety, café & restaurant and concessions
