Based in the Steel & Metals Institute leading the design, build and implementation of an extreme environments test facility that enables industrial process simulation on a laboratory scale. Worked alongside process specialists from foundation and power generation industries to develop capabilities to allow research into breakthrough technologies with decarbonisation potential.

Roll-Royce plc. University Technology Centre (RRUTC) Researcher specialising in corrosion-fatigue and hot corrosion behaviour of structural materials for gas turbines. Developed an internationally unique environmental test facility within the Institute of Structural Materials (ISM), which included design of novel test equipment for mechanical testing in corrosive hot gas environments. “The go-to for corrosion-fatigue insight” with interests in stress assisted corrosion mechanisms, accelerated high temperature oxidation and advanced characterisation techniques.
