Mike has held a multi-engine Airline Transport Pilot certificate since 1986 and held and maintained and active Flight Instructor certificate since 1983. He has nine type ratings in jet and turboprop aircraft and has flown over 60 different makes and models. He is co-author of a weekly aviation column in a community news paper titled Ely Air Lines. The focus of the column is a wide range of aviation material for a non-aviation audience. He also is co-founder of Paper Airplane Publishing, a traditional publishing company. He is a FAASTeam Representative in the Houston area.
