I have spent eleven years in a Pressure Pumping District. In that decade I have achieved supervisor in Fracturing, Cementing, Acid, Nitrogen and Coil Tubing. I have been a supervisor for coiled tubing primarely for the past 6 years. Untill I accepted a position as Operations Supervisor for my district of 35+ people I have been employed by BJ Services and Baker Hughes for over thirteen years, first in the Fracturing and Cement department in Kenai Alaska, then in the Coiled Tubing department in the same district. Working in Alaska offered me the opportunity to cross train between several divisions under the BJ Services and Baker Hughes umbrella. I have had the opportunity to participate in both onshore and offshore work. I have mixed and pumped several different types of cement jobs and a variety of Fracturing jobs, including Excape, Diesel and Methanol Fracs. I have also had the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of Coiled Tubing jobs. I have had the opportunity to work both on and offshore while utilizing coil sizes from 1.25” to 2.375” in a variety of jobs, including both of the Concentric Coil campaigns for Conoco Phillips and Opti-Port Fracs with Coil Tubing. I have also had the opportunity to work in a wide variety of Fields across North America. Alaska offers a lot of opportunity to work in remote locations without ready access to phones or the internet, Supervising Coiled Tubing work in Alaska often means being ready for any work that might come up as well as being your own mechanic. I also have experience working in California, Texas, Oklahoma, Texas, North Dakota, and West Virginia. Working in this wide variety of locations has offered me the opportunity to use Coiled Tubing in a wide variety of applications and under a wide variety of circumstances including deep shale fields (greater than 18000') and offshore platforms.
