I merged my boutique consulting firm (WFM 2.0) with Workforce Insight in 2009 and help lead Workforce Insight through 6 years of high-growth until we completed a transaction with Baird Capital. I remained as a senior leader with the company until I joined McKinsey and Company in 2017. While at Workforce Insight I built consulting practices for workforce budgeting and planning, people analytics, and strategic workforce management. I advised clients in retail, foodservice, distribution, and auto manufacturing. As an industry thought leader, I regularly presented at conferences for Anaplan and Kronos.

I founded a boutique firm with a small team to deliver strategic workforce management consulting. We built innovative digital solutions to help clients optimize their workforce and created industry specific change management frameworks. I integrated my firm into Workforce Insight in 2009.

I built a strategic retail workforce management consulting practice including service definition, thought leadership, and marketing collateral. Re-branded the firm’s service offerings and updated the go-to-market approach which led to an immediate increase in sales conversions. Led direct sales and closed more than 50% of total revenue for the firm.

I went in-house to experience workforce management from the customer’s point of view. I led strategy and planning for store systems including workforce management, point-of-sale, and task management. Acting as a product owner, I created the business case, developed the roadmap for workforce management, and acted as liaison between executive business stakeholders and IT. I took the initiative to program a prototype store front-end dashboard to optimize time and break management. The CIO subsequently chose to invest in the solution for store use.

As a leader in the company’s professional services organization, I relocated from Canada to California to build a consulting practice to service the Western region. I opened a new office in Orange County and was responsible for hiring, training, and senior oversight on client engagements. We consistently produced Workbrain’s largest number of reference customers, largest number of live customers, lowest turnover, and strongest project management and consulting staff. I started my tenure at Workbrain as a project manager and rapidly rose through the ranks to become the youngest VP in the services organization.

I started my consulting career at Arthur Andersen focusing on large-scale IT integrations for clients in the U.S. and Europe. I programmed a number of innovative problem-solving solutions including a database application to reconcile derivative trades for an investment bank that reduced the length of a process from days to minutes.
