Responsible for manufacturing and supply chain costs for two business units including establishment of, maintenance of and monitoring of budgets associated to STTX operations, with total P&L Responsibilities. Review and analyze financial statements to understand the state of operations and its impact on the business. Direct “Go to” for all Environmental inquires, audits and Surveillances’. * Lean initiatives, including cost reductions, 5S, visual management, etc. * Responsible for safety and the implementation of safety initiatives that drive the organization toward the goal of zero accidents. * Determine current and future operational opportunities that can provide for long term growth. * Daily continuous improvement projects such as lean, 5S, etc. through the Steel Tech Ghent/Eminence teams. * Responsible for overall direction of production including efficient use of equipment, materials and personnel required to produce. * Assure all company policies are followed including personnel matters, hazardous waste, product liability, and other corporate compliance issues within areas of responsibility. * Provide environmental oversight for the Ghent facility, in which is a Large Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator. Assure conformance to laws, rules and regulations. * Responsible for seeing that all Plant, Maintenance, transportation, Quality and Salary employees are adequately trained and have sufficient documentation, instruction, and supervision to complete their assignments. * Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
