Planned, built, launched and currently manage KING 5’s First Alert system. Worked with local NWS office and our Senior Meteorologist to define various types of severe weather impacts unique to the region. Created written policies and procedures for meteorologists, producers and directors to determine what qualifies and what to do. Collaborated with creative services to design powerful graphics and execute marketing campaign. Our “Nobody Wants To Be Surprised By the Sky” promo plays in heavy rotation during storm season. Sentient human being who has enjoyed solid working relationships with people of all walks and backgrounds who believes that there’s room at the table for everyone as long as we get the job done.

My course, Southern California Weather, will begin it’s third session in Spring 2020. We explore basic weather science, what makes our area unique and the types of weather challenges we face here. It’s offered through OSHER at the CSUSB Campus in Palm Desert.
