I have undertaken a range of consultancy projects across further and higher education.I have just completed a year's contract providing strategic advice to an awarding body regulated by Ofqual and QAA.I undertook a consultancy for University of Exeter related to the progression to higher education of their international students on foundation year level 3 programmes,I did consultancy work as the external evaluator for the National Coordinating Centre for Public Engagement (NCCPE) based in Bristol and jointly run by the University of Bristol and the University of the West of England (UWE). Extensive experience as an external reviewer of awarding bodies which offer the Access to Higher Education Diploma in the UK, working for the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education.I was a college governor for a number of different colleges from the 1980s through to 2014, incluidng a four-year stint as Chair of Governors.I have been involved a number of awarding bodies and i was Chair of ApreEd for two years until July 2015..I am an occasional contributor to FE Week, with a particular interest in FE Loans
