In an effort to coordinate the cities sports business community I re-established the Vancouver Sports Tourism Task Force an industry network of sports groups, facility operators, city councillors, city staff and event planners whose goal is to establish Vancouver as a recognised sport host destination. In 2008, the sport tourism office compiled and produced a marketing document that lead to Vancouver being recognised as the Ultimate Sports City in the Americas by Sport Business International. -
