Mike Curran is the CEO of XLVets Ireland, the leading Veterinary network in Ireland with 49 independent clinics across the country. Based in Limerick, Ireland, and with more than 25 years of experience, Mike is recognised as an innovative and transformational leader with a strong track record of high performance. Besides the fact that his contribution to companies in his career has received high profile awards for excellence, Mike is a dedicated, self-motivated and multi-skilled individual who has proven to effectively lead and manage very large and dispersed teams, modelling the highest standards of customer care, design and implementing efficiency processes. As the head of XLVets Ireland, he leads this network of 30 veterinary businesses with 49 clinics to success. In his role, he also coordinates collaborative projects, delivers performance review, mentors and supports new recruits & businesses into the best they can be, among other things. XLVets Ireland is a cooperative of independent businesses, with talent development company XLVets Skillnet, which receives government funding, destined for research and training, within the veterinary industry. Additionally to studying Computer Systems and Software Engineering, Mike holds an MBS from the Technological University Dublin, where he graduated with Honours, as well as a Diploma in Corporate Governance by the Corporate Governance Institute and a Certificate of Negotiating for Value by the Trinity College in Dublin among other project management and leadership qualifications.
