Gulfport Energy Corporation, Oklahoma City, OK 2000 - 2018 PRESIDENT AND CEO (2013 – 2018)Provided executive leadership for a $2 billion public oil and gas company with four offices and assets in various states/countries. Responsibility for all day-to-day decisions, including long-range strategic planning, risk mitigation processes, investor presentations and one-on-one meetings across the US and internationally. Conducted regular meetings with both commercial and investment bankers to gather market intelligence useful in strategy formation. Provided cross-functional management, directing eight Senior Vice Presidents including a COO and CFO. Additionally, had direct oversight of human relations, legal and IT functions and performed monthly, quarterly and yearly financial evaluation of results. Grew the number of employees from 50 to 350 with four district offices. Interacted with and reported to the Board of Directors on a regular basis. • Identified and completed a $1.85 billion acquisition that transformed the company in both size and scale and provided an immediate 15% margin uplift via the access to different regional markets. Allowed for the mitigation of current and future risk.• Grew production over 300% over a 5-year period while increasing cost efficiencies that reduced operating and production costs by 25%, which grew bottom-line production and revenue and increased the value assigned to the firm by the markets.• Since 2014, raised over $7 billion to fund the execution of capital programs via a combination of commercial debt, high yield debt, and equity offerings at lowest cost available.
