They are conducting an ongoing programme of research into human adaptation to hypoxia (low oxygen levels) with the aim of improving the care of the critically ill and other patients where hypoxia is a fundamental problem. Current work is focussed on:1. Early clinical evaluation of novel interventions and biomakers.2. Hypoxic chamber and tent studies for complex small group physiological studies3.
