2015-2017:Helped launch the first business unit in the company focused on modern application systems including containers and Kubernetes. Delivered vSphere Integrated Containers. Led technical integration of Kubernetes and container technology with Pivotal which we eventually acquired.From 2018 to mid 2021:Incubated, led architecture and development, and shipped industry first Local Cloud as a Service with VMC on Dell EMC. VMware is a first mover here. We had already announced and had some beta customers before AWS announced Outposts. Since mid 2021:Lead effort to build the unified SaaS platform for the entire company to use to deliver our services. This includes responsibility for our IAM, cloud console, feature flag, runtime environment, commerce, secrets management, etc. And doing all of this while ensuring we met and exceeded our goals for compliance, data privacy, and security.

2007 to 2011 · Responsible for the architecture, technical integrity, and quality of the Security Technology Business Unit's products including ASA (Firewall, VPN), Security Applications (Cloud Information Services), Intrusion Prevention System, Web Security, Email Security, and Hosted Services (ScanSafe, IronPort Hosted Email). · Member of security leadership team that sets market strategy, including oversight for all business development. · Responsible for defining and driving the technical and market strategy for cloud and virtualized datacenter security, including M&A and partnerships. · Extension of the management team providing context and color to the technical staff. · Voice of the technical community within the business unit leadership. · Responsible for the growth and nurturing of the technical community including organizing technical exchanges, mentoring, feedback, training, and working with management on skills and passion alignment. Some example activities include founding a mentorship program for the senior developers and technical leaders in India and refining and publishing new job descriptions, including roles and responsibilities for the entire technical ladder. · Chairman of the Security Patent Committee.1999 to 2007 · Designed and implemented the new data path and deep packet inspection architecture for the Intrusion Detection/Prevention Product. · Ported the IPS system onto the Intrusion Detection Module for the Cisco Catalyst 6500 switch. (First integrated network service into a switch in the industry.) · Developed and delivered the industry's first TCP normalization technology as part of the ASA and IPS products in 2003.

· Researched and developed advanced tools and applications for Information Security and Information Protection. · Performed security, vulnerability, and penetration assessments for commercial clients.

· Worked on executive transition team during the purchase of the company by an investment bank. · Responsible for production, quality assurance, sales, customer relations, and finance.

· Researched robotics and laser technology to reduce the cycle time and increase quality of stencils consumed by the surface mount production lines. · Automated laser/robot system and developed all software used in system.
