With over a decade of experience as a data scientist and bioinformatics engineer, I have developed and applied cutting-edge machine learning techniques to solve challenging problems in emerging pathogens (COVID-19), cancer screening, viral phylogeny, and pharmacogenomics (PGx). Moreover, I am known to bring the house (or the campsite) with my guitar jams.I have worked with multidisciplinary teams of scientists, engineers, and clinicians to design and implement scalable and robust data pipelines, algorithms, and models for analyzing large-scale genomic and clinical data.My passion is to leverage my skills and expertise in data science and bioinformatics to advance healthcare and improve human lives. I am proficient in various programming languages and environments, such as the Atlassian Suite, AWS, Oracle Cloud, SQL, Python, C++ and R.
