At MGM Resorts International I complete varied tasks to enable the success of e-commerce initiatives at MGM Resorts. Currently Role and Responsibilities include:• Working in a lead developer role on a Java Spring Boot microservices middleware stack running in Azure Cloud.• Provide architectural and design analysis on complicated new features and bug reports to guide developers on how to implement based on proven design patterns and industry best practices.• Design, maintain, and communicate our API specification for our clients to integrate with.• Conduct code reviews for team members pull requests in GitHub repositories.• Handle the most complicated merge conflicts that arise in our team which occasionally occurs during paralleldevelopment.• Write detailed Jira tickets for fellow developers with a focus on eliminating ambiguity and providing clear direction and acceptance criteria.• Implement the most complicated development tickets using my years of experience coding in Java, Python, SQL, and other languages. Write detailed commit messages explaining what changed and why.• Write meaningful unit tests following the Arrange-Act-Assert model to ensure developer confidence and safety when working in our systems.• Utilize our CI/CD pipelines to maximize productivity with fast feedback loops by leveraging static code analysistools, automated testing, and security scans.• Optimize our cloud infrastructure to maximize performance while minimizing cloud costs

Completing programming tasks to assist in Bioinformatics research. Tasks include: algorithm design and analysis, Java programming, Ajax programming, managing web server, managing in house data server, solving software issues in the lab, solving hardware issues in the lab, completing projects as assigned, and assisting other Bioinformaticians with their projects. I performed major maintenance on a project that has been published in Plos One (seen at http://dx.plos.org/10.1371/journal.pone.0092877). I am currently working on a project involving the occurrences of mini-motifs at the c-terminal of human proteins.
