I joined the military right of high school so early on I learned a good work ethic and no quit attitude. I learned the importance of leadership, setting a good example, working outside the box and finding intuitive solutions to all types of problems.Since the Army I've been dedicated to learning all things IT. I've always had a love for technology and figuring out how things work. So, naturally I started my IT career as a field technician for 7+ years working break fix cases for just about every type of technology there is from server, routers, switches, pc's, laptops, to POS equipment, printers and cabling. I have a strong background in troubleshooting and identifying problems and coming up with effective timely fixes. I've always strived to be a good communicator with employers as well as customers and be able to speak tech talk at level they can understand. Since then I've turned my interests to things in the cyber security world. I'm currently a SOC Analyst and the job just never gets boring. There is always something to solve, threats to find and solutions to be discovered. I've had hands on experience with siems such as AlienVault, Splunk, LogRhythm, Securonix, Azure Sentinal, QRadar, as well as an in house MDR platform. I enjoy hunting for threats and helping secure customers environments in a timely manner and mitigating risk that are associated with them. I am always looking to learn more and gain even more experience in different aspect of the cyber security world.
