Responsible for the day to day financial management of the company, presenting financials to the Board, preparing the quarterly financials and MD&A for public filing on the TSX-V, Company Secretary, payroll and benefits, HR, banking relationships, insurance, property management, customer and vendor contracts, employment contracts and assisting in the SR&ED process. Accomplishments:• Managed all aspects of the financial reporting, IFRS conversion and audit process on route to listing the company (via RTO) on the TSX Venture Exchange • Created defensible 5 year financial model as part of several successful fund raising exercises• Implemented robust rolling 12 month cash flow model that ensured timely Board decision making • Secured SAAS contract factoring facility • Reduced risks associated with US employment contracts and US tax compliance• During the due diligence of a potential acquisition uncovered material risk areas, some not immediately obvious

Casewise was a part-VC backed technology and consulting company headquartered in the UK with offices in the US, France and Canada. $20m Revenue, 100 employees.Responsible for: financial management, banking, legal, insurance, audits, tax, property management, payroll and setting up those functions overseas. At times responsible for a sales function, IT and HR. Accomplishments:• Despite periods of extreme variability in performance never had to revert to shareholders for additional funding• In years where there was a strain on working capital: secured payment plans with UK and French tax authorities, key suppliers and the landlord; and negotiated faster payment of customer invoices • Won two UK R&D grants ($800k) for product development• Secured a $2m invoice factoring facility and access to a vital short-term bank overdraft• Restructured internal royalty and management recharge (shared services) that resulted in a lower corporation tax liability.
