Veytel is a new start-up where we are initially focusing on development of a new tool for dermatologists to use for detection and diagnosis of skin cancers.

Algorithm Development for Robotic Perception Developed automatic calibration feature detector code and integrated to produce fully automated intrinsic and stereo calibration routines for visible and IR cameras. Created algorithm to take Pulse Doppler Radar data from a moving platform and detect moving people and vehicles. Developed IR people detector and multi-dimensional color video tracker. Created new automated detector for special target using multi-look fusion for NGA’s National/Tactical Exploitation (NTEX) program.

Algorithm Development for Automatic Target RecognitionIntegrated and tuned detection module for DARPA’s NTEX program. Supported quick turn-around operational fielding of DARPA’s SAIP program for Operation Iraqi Freedom (Letter of Appreciation from Pentagon and TAP Award). Designed and implemented fusion, registration and convoy detection algorithms with SAR, SIGINT and GMTI data for the Air Force’s ATACCS program. Implemented correlation filter classifier as new ATR module in DARPA’s SAIP program and supported operational fielding (received TAP Award). Developed Automatic Target Recognition (ATR) algorithms in C and MATLAB specifically for Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images. (These algorithms performed the best in the ARL SAR ATR blind test.) Developed novel spatial-spectral iterative HSI detection algorithm.

Analog Design and System Engineering Designed analog and digital circuitry in the SINCGARS radio system. Worst Case analysis of video circuitry on the GOES weather satellite. Analysis and troubleshooting of microprocessor based systems. Supported environmental and system testing.
