Responsible for implementing custom projects. Customers were typically syncing data between two endpoints, with Salesforce and QuickBooks (desktop or online) being the most common. Worked with customers to clarify their scope, and then built the workflow to sync the required objects between the two applications. Work involved everything from requirements to implementation to handoff and support.

Managed a team of developers responsible for implementing customers data transformations. Was a technical resource for some of the more difficult data formats, helped developers frame questions back to the customers, and understand the issues from the their perspective. Interviewed, hired, and had regular one on one meetings with each member of the team. Was an escalation point for the after hours support resource.

Apex Print Technologies is a statement processing company that had third party providers transforming data files with widely varying layouts (fixed length, delimited, print ready, XML) into common XML formats.I designed and built a new mapping product that allowed the customer to write their own maps, replacing several third party providers with automated processes. In about eight months they were processing over 2 million documents per month on their own servers, all supported with existing staff.Benefits include control of the entire process – all work is done in house, quicker time to production for new accounts, much faster turnaround time on fixes, visibility into the status of changes, and significant cost savings for Apex.Apex won the Minnesota High Tech Association's 2011 Tekne Award in the category of Technology Services, Small and Growing Company!

Managed a team of Java developers working on a data transformation tool. Supported data formats included flat file, EDI, XML, and database tables. A unique design approach meant that once a data layout description was completed, individual maps were not required. The first phase of the product rolled out to customers, enabling them to automate processes using custom workflows, track data and view process histories using a web interface.

Assisted the EDI group with several projects, including opening communications with other groups within the company.

Built and maintained maps to convert business documents from one format to another, typically EDI on one side and the suppliers flat file layout (fixed, delimited, XML) on the other.

Enhanced the user interface for an existing C++ backup application.Developed a new user interface for a C++ desktop fax application.
