Having worked for Sorensen for 2 1/2 years as a Trainee Advisor and having passed the relevant qualifications, I became an Authorised IFA for Sorensen at the beginning of 2011.

I joined Sorensen in June 2008, to start a completely different career in financial services. Sorensen are one of a very few Independant Financial Advisor companies that offer a "Modern Apprenticeship" for new entrance to learn how to be an IFA while working and studying towards the required qualifications.

One of five people on the Membership Committee for BNI Horizon based in Southport.The committee meet on the first Wednesday of the month, to discuss any issues that have been raised by other members in the group, as well as planning for the growth of the group and ensuring the streamline running of all the aspects within.My personal role is ensure that the quality of each meeting is at the highest level.

As Secretary/Treasurer for BNI Horizon, I administer the subscription payments of the members and I manage the finances of the chapter.I also organise the rota for the 10 minute presentations we have during the meetings, where the members are able to present exactly what their business does.

Having left University in the attempt to work in Psychology, I started working for H.B. Tools an Engineering Sales company, on a temporary basis. However, I spent 3 years at H.B. Tools, where I worked my way up from Office Junior onto the Sales team
